Miyagikyo is a very soft Japanese single malt whisky thanks to the creaminess and sensations due to the ex-sherry cask barrels. Distilled in Scottish-style copper pot stills, and aged in mixed ex bourbon and sherry barrels, it is produced in the second distillery opened by Masakata Taketsuru in the 1960s.
