Rum Chamarel distilled in 2014 and bottled by LMDR in 2022, has made multiple maturation steps, in virgin French oak casks, in ex-wine and ex-cognac casks and in the final one year and three months in ex-Oloroso casks and one year and six months in ex-Single Malt casks.
The Chamarel rum distillery is renowned for producing one of the best rums on the island. It is the youngest distillery in the country, opened in 2008, and produces French-style from pure sugarcane juice sourced from its own sugarcane fields.
