Aged for 10 years on the Island of Réunion, where the tropical climate drew oaky and tannic notes from the cask, and then brought back to Europe for a final period of rest, it has a marked “funky” character of overripe fruits (apples, pineapples, dates…) while remaining dry and distinctly peppery, with a touch of cinnamon too.
