On the nose there are notes of pear, vanilla, pineapple, dried fruit, white pepper and nutmeg then on the palate it is sweet with yellow fruit, macaroons, spices and wood. The finish is fresh, very spicy with persistent notes of white pepper.

Notes of taste
Light on the nose, well balanced and rich in nuances. At first the fruity aroma of fresh green apples emerges, but soon decisive notes of malt and wood emerge. Full-bodied on the palate. The finish is bitter-sweet with hints of ripe raspberries, wood smoke, dehydrated lavender and cocoa. -

Mortlach "Cowie's Blue Seal" 20 Years Old takes its name from one of Mortlach's original bottlings dating back to 1909, which was also the inspiration for the design of the new range. Matured exclusively in American ex Sherry oak barrels, with a percentage of refill barrels, the expression is characterized by waxy notes of ripe fruit, spices and oak wood. It is a whisky that would have made the great Alexander Cowie proud.
